Despite the fact that I’m an egomaniac (yes Dr. Desjardins I do draw the best giraffe heads) I’m able to recognize there are countless people in the world who excel at so many things of which I will never be able to do: like rocket science, sudoku, and belching the alphabet. Ok I admit the last two I could do if I really applied myself. However, rocket science would require a level of commitment of which I’m not ready to give simply because my new goal in life is to aspire not to be great, not to be good, but to be adequate. Hey a girl has to have some ambition.

Here’s a mostly harmless revelation for you: I’m not the only lesbian blog on the internet. I can hear your gasps from around the world. No my lovelies, there are indeed other lesbian and queer friendly blogs that exist in the vast space that is the web. These blogs are witty, hilarious, touching, sarcastic, and extremely informative. Since I don’t have any time to eliminate the competition, and assassins’ fees have become outrageous, I’ve decided to embrace these wonderfully entertaining women and share them with you. That’s right I’m a giver.

In no particular order, here are a few of my favourites:

Oh Sarah Warn thou art a genius. For the fun of it, as a hobby, Sarah started an entertainment blog, discussing the almost non-existence of lesbians on television and in the movies. Little did she know that legions of lesbians would agree with every word that came out of her mouth and make her website a success in mainstream news. The more I think about it, she”s created a cult. If you ever meet her and she offers you punch, politely decline.

Unlike yours truly who can be a wee bit cynical at times when it comes to the concept of a lesbian community, Kelly Leszczynski not only believes in it but has created one of her own, one that just happens to span around the world. She’s no slacker. This website makes you realize once and for all that you’re not the only lesbian on the planet and that if you apply yourself, you could literally get laid just about anywhere in the world.

I discovered this blog over a month ago and laugh out loud every single time while reading what the Graces have to say. Covering politics, entertainment, and just plain lesbian silliness, I guarantee this website will put a smile on your face. You might have to go by the name of Grace to write for them, but you don’t have to be a Grace to read their stuff…at least I don’t think you do…

Andrea Zanin is a self-proclaimed sex geek. She’s poly, into D/s, very wise, and doesn’t tolerate bullshit. Even if you’re not into a poly kinky lifestyle, I highly recommend you read her columns; you’ll learn A LOT and might even get titillated in the process.

I’ve been living in Montreal for over 5 years now and every year I fall in love with this city even more. This website has its finger on the queer pulse of the city. From people to art, you’ll be even more gay than usual when you read this blog.

Oh my goodness…and I thought I was self-deprecating. Meet Sasha. She’s brutally honest about her flaws and her adventures in lesbian land. I’m amazed she leaves the house after some of the things she’s gotten herself into.

Remember, these are but a few of my favourites…if you have any recommendations, do please let me know.
