I have a lot of male acquaintances but none that I would like to hang out with for any long periods of time. It’s not from lack of trying mind you. I’ve been to my share of Super Bowl parties, Dungeons & Dragons games, and Star Wars’ marathons. I love blending in and being considered one of the guys. The problem is that eventually one of them realizes I have an outstanding pair of breasts in lieu of a penis and then proceeds to hit on me. My being gay does nothing to deter my would-be male suitors. Strangely enough, my being gay does nothing to encourage any would-be female suitors. Did I mention I have an outstanding pair of breasts?
Here’s a mostly harmless conundrum for you: The few male friends I do have, and I genuinely do consider them friends, are very respectful towards gay people, both men and women. They’re not my friends simply because they love lesbians and especially all the hot stuff we do in bed; they’re my friends because they make me laugh, have some of the same geeky interests I have, would come to my defense in a nanosecond, and respect the fact that I’ll never want to have sex with them. So what’s the problem you ask? I don’t know what to call them.
If a straight girl hanging out with a gay boy is called a FAG HAG, whatever do you call a straight boy hanging out with a gay girl? I’ve done some research, and the following suggestions have been made:
· DYKE TYKE
· FRUIT FLY
· STAG HAG
· LESBRO
I’m rather fond of fruit fly and lesbro but can’t make up my mind. I know at the end of the day, I can just call them friends…but there’s nothing wrong with a cute nickname for them. What say you lovely readers? Do you have a nickname for your boy friends?

Lesbro… definitely.
Lesbro, definitely. That’s an awesome nickname. I have one really good male friend, who has always been just a good friend, but I also have a bunch of those guys who started out hitting on me, realized I was gay, and stuck around either for the titillation factor and they think they can change me or because they genuinely like me. All I know is they’re very handy to have around whenever I need tricky technical stuff fixed around the house, they seem extraordinary willing to go out of their way to be macho males around me…
I’d definitely go with lesbro. That one really cracked me up.
If you’ve gotta use any label, my vote goes for lesbro
I think Lesbeau is a straight man who’s friends with a lesbian and Lesbro is a term used by lesbians to describe her lesbian buddies -”she’s my Lesbro”-
I’m pretty sure I’m correct about those terms.
