Raise your hands those of you who floss every day? Hmmm…
Well perhaps this shall convince you as to why flossing is an essential part of a long healthy life.
- To prevent tooth decay – I know this seems obvious but if you’re a sweet addict like me, when the harmful bacteria in plaque is mixed with sugar, tooth decay slowly but surely begins…which as we all know is the first step to becoming a Zombie.
- To prevent gum disease – Plaque can accumulate around your gums and teeth which can cause inflammation, bleeding, and receding. Not enough to scare you…ok…does this help?
- To prevent bad breath – As the bacteria in your mouth multiplies, breaks down and creates more plaque, you’re gonna get a stinky mouth…as in no one will feel like kissing you stinky mouth.
- To prevent the risk of heart disease – The harmful bacteria that has accumulated in your mouth will eventually travel through your blood stream all the way to your heart. Studies have shown that flossing can add 7 more years to life by preventing cardiovascular diseases. Of course let’s not forget that not smoking, exercising, and eating well helps a lot in that department too.
- You’ll have a beautiful smile – Corny I know…but true…just ask this guy:
